As destination wedding planners, part of our job is staying up to date on the newest resort openings. When Secrets Playa Blanca opened this winter, we were so excited to check it out and learn all about their offerings for our couples. This adults-only resort is 12 miles north of Cancun and about 30 minutes from Cancun airport, making it a fantastic option for couples with a large guest count. We had such a great time visiting this new Secrets property and can’t wait to start matching couples with their incredible wedding offerings. 

Weddings at Secrets Playa Blanca

As recently mentioned in our blog about affordable resort wedding packages, Secrets Resorts, part of the Hyatt Inclusive collection, are some of our favorites. The Secrets brand has had successful all-inclusive resorts around the world for decades, and their weddings are always incredible. Pricing will vary throughout the year and by day of the week, but they have a lot of options with their wedding packages meeting the needs of many engaged couples. Who wouldn’t want to make planning a breeze?

Mexico Wedding Packages

When booking a destination wedding at Secrets Playa Blanca, you’ll choose from one of four base packages. The first is their elopement package, for only the couple, which provides everything you’ll need for an intimate ceremony. If you have a few guests attending, you can opt for their Paradise Package, which includes up to 10 guests. Both of these packages include the couples’ bouquet(s) and boutonniere(s), as well as a cake and sparkling wine toast. The elopement package also includes hair and makeup for one partner. 

For larger destination weddings, couples will choose between the Eternal Love package and the Beyond Memorable package. The Eternal Love package includes everything from the smaller packages, as well as a rehearsal dinner, cocktail hour with live music, dinner reception, and centerpieces. The base package includes everything for 20 guests, but additional guests can be added a la carte. Finally, the largest package – the Beyond Memorable package – includes everything from the Eternal Love package for up to 79 guests. Plus, you can have an additional welcome party and elevated details like draping and a custom cocktail. 

Another thing we love about this new resort is the variety of incredible spaces available for your wedding celebrations. There are two different beachfront spaces for your ceremony, plus five gorgeous outdoor reception areas and two indoor reception spaces. Whether you imagine your guests sipping cocktails next to the pool or dancing the night away in the ballroom, there are gorgeous options for every vision. 

All-Inclusive Resort Amenities

One of the best parts about getting married at an all-inclusive resort is enjoying all of the unlimited amenities! At Secrets Playa Blanca, you and your guests will have access to top-shelf alcohol and food at 17 restaurants and bars around the resort. The property boasts four pools and two hot tubs, plus a full calendar of activities from snorkeling to tennis. The resort has 507 luxurious guest suites with incredible options like ocean views or even swim-out access. Just imagine walking out of your room on a terrace that leads directly to a pool. Or, for an even more luxurious experience, you can upgrade your stay to the Club level, where you’ll receive butler services, complimentary room service, and access to Club guest-only areas. 

In addition to all the complimentary amenities, Secrets Playa Blanca offers a variety of services that guests can add to their stay for an additional fee. Guests of the resort can enjoy discounted rates at the Playa Mujeres Golf Club, which is recognized as one of the best golf courses in Mexico. And for those who prefer a relaxing day over one on the green, the resort has an 18,000-square-foot full-service spa offering everything from beauty treatments to sauna rooms and massages. We love doing a hydrotherapy which is social and perfect to do with your girlfriends. You get an access to the spa and move through different hot and cold treatments, enjoy tea and juices along with relaxing time with your friends. It is the perfect way to connect and bond with your girlfriends and female family members.
