Destination Weddings at Atelier Playa Mujeres

Atelier Playa Mujeres is a luxurious resort located 45 minutes outside the Cancun airport. As a destination wedding planner, I’ve been to dozens of all-inclusive resorts in Mexico, and this is one of my favorites. This adults-only resort caters to upscale singles and couples and is the perfect spot to wow your wedding guests. Located in an exclusive gated community, it feels truly secluded from the outside world. If you’re looking for the perfect spot for a mid-size adults-only destination wedding, you have to check it out.

Atelier Playa Mujeres Wedding Packages

The resort offers two base wedding packages that couples can customize to their liking. The first package, “Entice,” includes the basics for a 20-person wedding day. This includes a symbolic ceremony with a gazebo, chairs, sound system, and flowers for both partners. It covers a cocktail hour, a plated dinner reception with an open bar, and a wedding cake. Plus, the couple receives a free 50-minute massage.

The larger package, “Bliss,” includes everything in the “Entice” for 50 people, plus a few additional perks like a bridal suite for getting ready, welcome cocktails, and a flower arrangement for the sweetheart table.

Both packages can include additional people for a simple per-person fee and can be spiced up with additional services a la carte. Plus, if your party books 75 room nights, you’ll qualify for additional free events, such as a welcome reception the night before!

Wedding Venues

One of the reasons why I love this resort is its gorgeous event spaces. Of course, you can celebrate right on the beach, but they have so many additional spaces to choose from. They have a classic ballroom, several beautiful patios, and even a rooftop terrace! But my absolute favorite is their Limon and Sal Garden, which truly feels like a tropical getaway. For religious ceremonies, they also have a chapel, which is available at an additional fee.

Resort Rooms

Atelier Playa Mujeres is one of the larger all-inclusive resorts in the area, with nearly 600 rooms. All their rooms are considered suites and include a balcony or terrace. You can choose from several suite options, even at the junior level, including ocean view or swim-out. Since the hotel is set back from the beach, there are no true oceanfront rooms, but the ocean-view rooms are a gorgeous spot to watch the sunrise.

For those looking to upgrade their resort experience, Atelier Playa Mujeres offers INSPIRA suites with luxury rooms and upgraded amenities. These include a welcome cocktail, concierge service, access to a private sky lounge with an infinity pool, a private beach area, and complimentary deals on spa services and dining experiences. This is a great option for couples who might want some time away from their guests throughout the weekend.

All-Inclusive Resort Amenities

Of course, even with a standard room, Atelier Playa Mujeres has some incredible amenities. There are a variety of pools throughout the resort, including some with swim-up bars. The private beach includes lounges, umbrellas, and daybeds for guests. There are over 20 restaurants and bars around the property, or if you prefer to dine alone, all rooms come with complimentary 24-hour room service. Each stay also includes complimentary wifi throughout the resort, access to the gym, and non-motorized water sports. We highly recommend downloading their app before your visit to view the daily activities and events.

For those interested in additional paid offerings, the resort also has an incredible spa and wellness center and an 18-hole golf course. There is truly nothing you could possibly want that Atelier Playa Mujeres doesn’t have!
