We first met Barry and Elisha at the Triangle Bridal Show in Raleigh, NC. They originally planned to have a local wedding but couldn’t find a venue that fit both their style and budget. After some research, they decided a destination wedding would be a better fit and came to The Travel Mechanic for help planning their dream day. We’re so glad we could be part of this gorgeous wedding for Barry and Elisha at Breathless Montego Bay Resort.  

Jamaica Destination Wedding Planner

Together, we worked to find the perfect resort for their intimate adults-only celebration and landed on Breathless Montego Bay in Jamaica. This all-inclusive resort is truly luxurious, with an award-winning spa and stunning accommodations. You can even book a room with a private hot tub right on your balcony! 

Barry and Elisha knew they needed a destination wedding planner like The Travel Mechanic to help with guest travel. Most of their guests had never left the country, so having a travel planner help them navigate passport issues, pre-departure details, and airline tickets really put them at ease. Since so many guests were new to international travel, we decided to have an open Zoom meeting for everyone! This allowed us to walk everyone through the wedding weekend details and have a Q&A session. We even recorded the call for those who couldn’t attend in real time. It really put the couple and their guests at ease. 

Barry and Elisha’s Wedding at Breathless Montego Bay

With 30 of their closest friends and family watching, Barry and Elisha exchanged vows under a beautiful gazebo. Guests then headed to the lawn for cocktail hour and dinner, where a stunning water view awaited them. They kept the decorations simple, allowing the resort’s beauty and nature to shine. 

One of my favorite parts of Elisha and Barry’s wedding was that they chose to have it over Memorial Day weekend. This allowed their guests to enjoy a full four nights at the resort without taking another day off work. Everyone felt so relaxed and spent lots of time bonding and getting to know each other better – what more could you ask for? 

Anniversary Trip 

Elisha and Barry decided to take advantage of an often-overlooked wedding package add-on: an anniversary trip! As part of their wedding package, they received a 3-night return stay plus an additional two free nights from their room block perks. That’s a full 5-night stay to celebrate their anniversary! And, of course, as their destination wedding planner, we took care of the booking on their behalf.
